What are the responsibilities and job description for the CPA Placement Specialist position at DCCCA?
Essential Functions
- Provides crisis services during evening and weekend rotation of placement phone
- Requires daily communication with other placement staff when transitioning placement phone and responsibilities
- Understands and follows DCF licensing regulations
- Monitor and responds timely and appropriately to CPA referral email account
- Accepts referrals from foster care contractors
- Requires daily communication with partnering agencies to obtain information on placements
- Uploads and enters confidential information accurately and efficiently into internal data system
- Updates tracking and openings list daily
- Maintains good working relationships and facilitates communication with the foster family and collateral agencies and staff
- Maintains regular contact with supervisor
- Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours
- Requires high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Requires at least two years of child welfare and/or family services experience
- A detailed understanding of foster care preferred
- Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position
