DCC Transit Works Inc is hiring a skilled Carpenter to join our Field Operations team and contribute to high-quality construction projects across various job sites. This role requires hands-on experience with formwork, framing, finish carpentry, and site-specific installations. Youll be an integral part of our construction crew, helping to bring vital infrastructure and public works projects to life with craftsmanship, professionalism, and safety at the forefront.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of rough and finish carpentry on active construction sites.
Install doors, frames, hardware, blocking, partitions, and other finish components.
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Collaborate with field crews, site supervisors, and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
Maintain safe and organized job sites, adhering to OSHA standards.
Operate power tools and hand tools in a skilled and responsible manner.
Perform layout and measurement tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with material handling, job setup, and clean-up as needed.
Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and project environments.
5 years of hands-on carpentry experience in commercial, industrial, or public works settings.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must have a valid and clean driver's license.
Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and carpentry techniques.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and project documents.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual labor.
Team-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work occasional weekends as required by project schedules.
