Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to delivery schedules. Experience with winch truck operations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks including tractor-trailers.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driving is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking and freight transportation.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
