What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Driver position at DCC Propane, LLC?
The basic functions of the job are performed through the delivery of Butane/Propane from a terminal to a customer location or to another Natural Gas Liquids terminal. DUTIES:
- Ensure the regional pickup and safe delivery of propane gas and/or other product as directed.
- Maintain preventive maintenance program for transport truck and trailer.
- Follow DOT requirements and company-safe driver guidelines while performing duties.
- Perform daily inspections as required by the DOT and Rocket Propane to ensure assigned equipment is in safe and compliant operating condition.
- Ensure all required paperwork (i.e. certification, logs) is completed and in compliance with company and government regulations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CDL Class A license with HazMat endorsement will be required for employment.
- No lifting restrictions.
- Availability for after hour calls.
- Necessary Training provided by Employer.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist while handling weight of 25lbs.
- Work and drive in all types of weather.
- May require overnight stay.
- Ability to work maximum hours allowed under DOT hours of service regulations.
