Summary
Operates, maintains, and programs automated and semi-automated equipment used in the production of printed circuit board assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program and operate computer-controlled SMT machine to automatically place electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and integrated circuits, onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Positions and programs paper tape reels or plastic component tubing into feeding mechanism to properly load SMT machine.
- Prepares screen-printing PCB frames prior to perform solder application.
- Program screen printer job load and modifies files as needed to adhere to proper specifications.
- Inspects assembled PCBs on SMT machine bed for defects, such as missing components or incomplete placement.
- Makes minor machine adjustments, clears machine jams and insures program is running correctly.
- Inspects for missing PCB components and routes defective boards to repair department.
- Oversee PCBs population throughout SMT machine operation including final reflow oven system.
- Adjust conveyor speed and heating temperature as needed to meet specifications.
- Responsible for routine maintenance equipment.
Education and/or Experience
· Training and experience with IPC-610 standards or equivalent preferred but will train.
· Familiarity with ISO processes and procedures preferred but will train.
· Experience in the assembly of electronic assembly preferred but will train.
· Specific experience in component prep, component insertion, soldering and testing components and sub assemblies preferred but will train.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
