Job Description
DC Sunshine Taxi & Courier INC is a family-owned and operated company that has served Douglas County for over 20 years. We are committed to safe, reliable, and affordable transportation, and we serve our community seven days a week, including major holidays.
We're seeking friendly, dependable drivers to provide taxi and non-emergency medical transportation. A company vehicle is provided, and we cover gas, insurance, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean vehicle, perform routine inspections, and report maintenance issues
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a comfortable ride
- Navigate using GPS or maps while following all traffic laws
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and provide receipts
- Maintain accurate trip records, including mileage, gas receipts, and account tickets
- Communicate with dispatchers about passenger requests, delays, or issues
Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to collapse and lift 30-40 pound wheelchairs
- Patient-care and customer-service oriented
- Ability to pass a background check as required by city and federal regulations (no felonies)
- Ability to pass a drug screening including no THC.
