Armed Security Guard

Job Overview:

D.C. Private Investigations and Security Consultants is expanding its operations within the Security and Investigations industry. We are seeking highly qualified Armed Security Officers to join our team and ensure the protection of client sites throughout Pueblo County and surrounding areas. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, and prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is strongly preferred.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to provide two professional references.

Responsibilities:

· Deliver both armed and unarmed security services at client locations

· Regularly patrol and monitor premises to ensure safety

· Secure perimeters, observe activities, and report criminal incidents to law enforcement authorities when warranted

· Operate surveillance cameras and alarm systems for effective detection and prevention

· Respond promptly to alarms and investigate any disturbances

· Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees, and visitors

· Enforce property rules and regulations consistently

· Conduct inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards

· Prepare comprehensive incident reports and maintain accurate security records

Qualifications and Skills:

· Prior experience in a Security Guard role or related position

· CPR and First Aid certifications are desirable

· Skilled in surveillance and spotting suspicious activity

· Solid understanding of law enforcement protocols

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to manage conflicts with composure and professionalism

· Possession of a valid Security Guard license or eligibility to obtain one

· Successful completion of background checks and written assessments

· Ownership of a full-size semi-automatic handgun (9mm, .40, or .45 only; revolvers, compacts, or subcompacts are not permitted)

This role entails extended periods of standing, running, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, climbing stairs, and walking up to ten miles during shifts. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, endurance for repetitive movements, and the ability to react quickly using hands, fingers, and feet. Certain assignments may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The ability to lift 25 pounds or more and produce clear, concise incident reports is also required. Travel between Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver may be necessary depending on contractual obligations.

Applicants must be able to complete the following physical activities:

* 10 Push-ups within 2 minutes

* 20 Squats within 2 minutes

* Complete 40 step-ups (up and down) within 2 minutes

*Half (1/2) a mile walk in under 10 minutes

* Demonstrate adequate finger dexterity to safely handle equipment and perform fine motor tasks.
