Responsibilities
- Support lead plumbers in installing and assembling piping systems, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics.
- Assist with pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and securing pipes using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Help interpret technical drawings, schematics, and building plans to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Use basic math skills to measure materials accurately and calculate pipe lengths or fitting requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures related to construction site work, including proper handling of power tools and welding equipment.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction site environments is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation techniques, and building code compliance.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or general maintenance is a plus.
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently on job sites.
- Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with team members or clients.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working in various outdoor conditions.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical instructions.
