The Warehouse Custodial Specialist performs custodial work within the DC Dental Warehouse by performing the duties noted below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process) by cleaning all assigned interior and exterior spaces of the facility according to health and safety standards, company operating procedures, and company schedules.
- Remove and transport waste, trash, and recyclables to appropriate disposal areas.
- Perform various cleaning duties, such as sweeping, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming, carpet cleaning and polishing, using powered equipment as needed, in assigned locations.
- Maintain inventory and equipment records; keep storage areas and cleaning cart well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Protect, maintain, and disinfect work equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Adhere to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
- Properly maintain, and handle all documentation required in accordance with policy guidelines.
- Assist other warehouse employees with various tasks as needed.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous work experience in environmental services or custodial role.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision and ensure that daily operations are completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as to follow oral and written instructions, maintain records, document activities, and communicate with colleagues and management.
- Ability to physically lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to physically to walk and be on one’s feet at least 8 hours per day.
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance, types and uses of cleaning products, and types and uses of powered equipment preferred.
8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)
