Key Responsibilities And Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in engineering project management, with at least 6-8 years focused on healthcare facility projects.
- Must hold a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and be eligible for, or currently possess, multi-state registrations.
- Responsible for the financial management of the practice, including tracking profitability, generating and following up on invoices, managing Accounts Receivables (AR) with corporate leadership, and maintaining team billability.
- Manage and supervise electrical, mechanical and plumbing design production teams, including conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
- Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to budget, scope, and scheduling, while identifying when change orders need to be executed.
- Serve as the primary point of communication for owners, clients, and consultant contractors, representing DBR's interests and technical expertise.
- Directly report out on budget, scope, and schedule performance to the Healthcare Practice Leader.
- Oversee all phases of projects, including both the design and construction administration (CA) phases.
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of CA tasks, such as attending meetings, answering RFIs, and reviewing submittals.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare-specific electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, codes (e.g., NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines), and project delivery methods. Where role allows PM to work with discipline leads to ease this knowledge.
- Stay as Engineer of Record as project requires.
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
