About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our millwork and precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality wood, metal, or composite components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate CNC milling, turning, or grinding machines to produce millwork and precision parts
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to translate them into machine commands
- Setup & Tooling: Load raw materials, select and install appropriate tools, and perform tool changes, collet setups, and touch-off procedures really.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, chip handling, and minor repairs to keep machines in optimal condition
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Documentation: Record production runs, materials used, machine settings, and quality control
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, quality control, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNC machining certification or vocational training preferred
- 1–2 years’ experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic math and computer skills.

- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and other related equipment such as press brake machines and stamping presses to produce millwork components.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, ensuring optimal machining processes.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately manufacture parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery, including Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques within the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, and packaging processes to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fabrication processes, welding, and materials handling.
- Experience with precision measurement instruments including calipers and micrometers for quality assurance purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating measurements and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with factory safety protocols, hand tools, assembly techniques, and quality control procedures.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
