Irrigation Technician

What You'll Do
As an Irrigation Technician, you'll maintain and repair commercial irrigation systems throughout the Phoenix metro area. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnose and repair commercial irrigation systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical irrigation issues
- Program and adjust commercial irrigation controllers
- Repair valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, lateral lines, mainlines, and wiring
- Perform trenching, pipe installation, and system modifications
- Conduct irrigation inspections and identify opportunities for improvements
- Complete preventative maintenance to maximize system performance and water efficiency
- Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and time & material documentation
- Maintain inventory of irrigation parts and communicate material needs
- Purchase materials with supervisor approval when necessary
- Communicate daily with supervisors regarding project progress and completed work
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area
- Participate in ongoing company training and professional development
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot field issues
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of commercial irrigation experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience with Rain Bird, Hunter, and Irritrol commercial controllers
- Ability to read irrigation plans and locate underground utilities
- Knowledge of irrigation wiring and valve troubleshooting
Physical Requirements
This position requires working outdoors in Arizona weather and includes:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Digging and trenching by hand
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Walking commercial properties throughout the day
- Operating hand and power tools safely
