What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate Attorney position at DBL Law?
POSITION
DBL Law is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney. This position will perform general litigation work including commercial, business, administrative and employment litigation. The position is based in our Covington, Kentucky office.
JOB DUTIES
- Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
- Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
- Prepare and argue motions.
- Perform legal research and writing.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
- Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Independently manage cases.
- Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, meditations, and depositions.
- Respond to administrative charges.
- Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 5 years of experience practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts.
- Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience, strongly preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
COMPENSATION
In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $105,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
