Role Overview
DBi is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to own and scale the firm’s data and internal platform infrastructure.
This role works directly with the PM and supports research, portfolio management, and production workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own ingestion, normalization, and storage of hedge fund, market, and proprietary datasets
- Manage integrations with external data providers
- Design and maintain pipelines into Snowflake using Fivetran and custom ETL
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls
- Maintain clean, reproducible historical time series
- Design and maintain REST APIs for internal data access
- Maintain and extend internal tools including Streamlit dashboards
- Work with external partners such as Everysk on critical workflows
Required Qualifications
- ~5 years experience in data engineering or investment systems
- Strong Python and SQL
- Hands-on Snowflake experience
- Experience building APIs
- Understanding of financial time-series data
Strong Plus
- Hedge fund, asset manager, or fintech experience
- Streamlit and ETL tooling familiarity
- Cloud infrastructure exposure
This role is a senior individual contributor position with high ownership and direct impact on investment workflows.
