What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Equipment Laborer position at DBI SERVICES?
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for working alongside a crew of Maintenance Technicians providing support for the completion of work orders assigned by the Operations Center.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Plan and direct day-to-day activities of technicians
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment
- Maintain inventory of any equipment, materials, stockpiles, etc.
- Operates heavy equipment including but not limited to skid steer, mini-excavator, concrete mixer, and small mowing machines
- Operates power tools including but not limited to: chainsaws, brush cutters, backpack blowers, pole saws, circular saws, concrete saws, drills, weed eaters, and edgers
- Performs work with the use of tools including but not limited to: shovels, rakes, bush axes, mattock, heavy-duty pry bar, heavy-duty bush brooms, sledgehammers, measuring wheel, and herbicide sprayers
- Drives and operates dump truck or trailer
- Monitor safety and make recommendations regarding needed changes and improvements of field operations
- Performs and oversees maintenance of traffic (MOT) operations and traffic control to establish safe zones
- Uses an understanding of (MUTCD) to identify and ensure compliance related to highway measures, PPE, roadway signage, and traffic control materials and equipment
- Responds to after-hours needs for maintenance of traffic (MOT) and incidents as needed or requested
- Uses all equipment safely
- Performs other duties as assigned
