What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bat Boy/Clubhouse Assistant position at DBH St Paul LLC?
Our goal is to be recognized as the best operation in minor league baseball at everything we do. This starts delivering the experience possible for our home and visiting teams before, during, and after games.
The dugouts and clubhouses of any ballpark provide the focal point and ?heart? of a baseball club. How a player is treated in those spaces often determines the way they develop and the level of success they have both on and off the field. It is a vital role of the Bat Boy/Clubhouse Assistant to provide maximum customer service to our visiting team players, coaches, athletic training and strength staff. These individual will be directly responsible handling equipment, bats, baseballs for players and umpires during games ensuring that everyone has what they need in a timely manner. They will assist with clubhouse needs and will also assist with umpires? locker services. This individual must be willing to work shifts of 4-6 hours, non-traditional hours while maintaining a levelheaded, thick skinned, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
? Work with umpires throughout the game to manage game-ready baseball inventory
? Work with teams throughout the game to ensure bats and other equipment is ready for players including picking up equipment (bats, pads, etc.) after a player?s at-bat is over
? Assist with equipment load-in and load-out
These duties are essential to a smooth and efficient game operation putting players, coaches, team staff, and umpires in the best position to succeed.
Compensation: $15.57/hour, plus ancillary income opportunities
Schedule: Those applying should be available for most Saints home games (total of 75) from March 29-September 22. Coincides with Saints home game schedule, approximately 12-15 days per month
