Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Duct Fabrication Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication processes, specifically concerning SMACNA and commercial hardline duct applications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to lead and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. No management experience required, but experience concerning duct fabrication is a MUST.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including press brake machines and plasma cutting table
- Perform rollforming tasks and spiral pipe making products as required for specific projects.
- Utilize basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal components accurately.
- Assemble metal parts and structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling within the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Requirements
- Must have 3 years experience in the duct fabrication trade.
- Familiarity with operating manual brakes
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Open to working night shift on rotation.
