MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing and optimizing existing wholesale accounts and other accounts as assigned.
- Budgeting, planning and forecasting wholesale account business monthly and annually.
- Account level sales planning & prospect funnel management
- Daily inputting of account/customer activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Attending tradeshow events to support the commercial side of the business.
- Interdepartmental cross training to support sales and customer service functions as needed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- College degree and / or combination of education and 5 years’ experience in sales, customer service and research. CPG sales experience highly preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Track Record and ability to build customer relationships.
- Ability to understand customer needs & propose solutions that meet them within company parameters.
- Must work effectively in a team environment; collaboration with peers and colleagues; as well as being capable to effectively work independently.
- Business acumen to ensure sustainable revenue & profitability growth.
- Analytical ability and business acumen to analyze & prioritize opportunities.
- Comprehensive understanding of sales funnel management & customer relationship management tools (CRM) and MS Office tools
- Develops and maintains good rapport with prospective customers.
- Travel required (10% of position will require travel).
- Ability to qualify and present to new sales prospects both over the phone and in person.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and in small groups.
