Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Operations Director located in Middlebury, VT. The Plant Operations Director will oversee all aspects of plant operations and facility management, ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and safety regulations, and manage budgets effectively. The role involves leading and mentoring operations staff, creating efficient workflows, and ensuring optimal facility functionality to support organizational objectives. Communication with stakeholders and strategic planning will also be critical aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Plant Operations and Facility Management (FM) to oversee building maintenance, systems, and operational workflows.
- Strong background in implementing and overseeing Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
- Demonstrated Supervisory Skills to effectively lead, manage, and develop a team of professionals.
- Ability to manage Budgeting processes, monitor expenditures, and optimize cost efficiency in plant operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and safety standards is an asset.
- Supervising assigned activities of the Engineering/Maintenance Department functions in maintaining the physical structures.
- Life Safety Codes, compliance with regulatory standards to include CMS, OSHA and standards for HVAC, medical equipment, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition.
- Prior Healthcare Plant Operations Management highly sought.
- Located On Site in Middlebury VT and the surrounding region.
- Must be willing to travel between Hospital Sites.
