Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance. This role requires a thorough understanding of aviation standards, mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to work with precision tools and diagnostic equipment. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on aircraft components in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and AS9100 standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, CAD drawings, and root cause analysis techniques
- Repair or replace aircraft systems including airframe, avionics, electrical wiring, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure component accuracy
- Perform welding, soldering, and fabrication tasks using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment as needed
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with aviation regulations during all maintenance procedures
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of aircraft components during repairs or upgrades
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics and technical drawings for complex repairs
Experience
- FAA A&P License
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or related fields such as military aviation or vehicle maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in aviation systems
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD for technical drawings and schematics
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes including fabrication, sheet metal work, and equipment repair
- Knowledge of FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance practices
- Experience working with avionics systems and power tools required for precise assembly and repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Prior use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters (ammeters), ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) is highly desirable
- Certification or training in CATIA or similar CAD software is a plus
