Job Overview
Dazzo's Kitchen is looking to hire a pizza cook. Candidates should have at least 1 year of pizza making experience, although having any cooking experience in a restaurant setting would be acceptable. This position offers the opportunity to work with a 100% wood-fired oven, specializing in Neapolitan style pizza and other wood-fired dishes. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and assembling ingredients with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knife tools
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to meet customer expectations in a lively restaurant environment
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of pizza and coordinating meal service
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles is highly desirable
- Experience working in fine dining or restaurant settings enhances your ability to deliver exceptional quality
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills and meal preparation methods, is beneficial
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry or catering services will support your success in this role
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
