Required Qualifications :
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Instructional Systems, Instructional Design, Education or a closely related field.
- Requires a minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in an academic setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and facilitate faculty training courses and model teaching and learning best practices. Facilitate workshops and serve as an author of the Academic Innovation Blog.Review online courses by applying Quality Matters General Standard Eight (principles of Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning) and develop and implement course design recommendations as a member of the Peer Reviewer Committee.Provide individualized faculty assistance virtually and in the Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) regarding the learning management system (e.g., instructional technology), integrations (e.g., publisher packages), and enhancing the learning experience with innovative course design (e.g., multimedia content). Document usage and service history. Serve as a liaison between Academic Innovation and Instructional Resources and / or IT.Serve as project manager for course buildouts, working closely with the faculty members, coordinating oversight of ongoing tasks, goals, and documentation. Conduct course design needs analysis. Review and analyze Falcon Online engagement data for purposes of instructional design.Continuously engage in professional development activities to remain knowledgeable in teaching and educational technology trends and stay up to date with Daytona State College instructional technology and policies.Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to interpret information and make logical decisions.Ability to sit and view computer screen for extended periods of time performing detailed tasks.This position requires a criminal background screening.
