We are a locally owned cash-for-gold business in Daytona Beach seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and customer-focused Part-Time Retail Associate. This role involves assisting customers with selling gold, jewelry, and other valuables in a professional and respectful environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable handling transactions involving valuables, and able to communicate clearly with a wide range of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming, professional experience
- Evaluate gold, jewelry, and other items (training provided)
- Weigh and test precious metals accurately
- Explain pricing and make purchase offers to customers
- Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately
- Maintain detailed transaction records
- Keep the store clean, organized, and secure
- Follow all company policies and security procedures
Qualifications
- Strong honesty and integrity (this is critical for this role)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling cash and valuable items
- Ability to stay calm and professional in all situations
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with jewelry, pawn shops, or precious metals
- Sales experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule
- Part-time, 3-4 weekdays, 10:00-6:00
