Dayton T. Brown, Inc, has a career opportunity for a Project Engineer to support our Structural Testing Department within the Engineering & Test Division. We are looking for a team member that will apply their experience and provide feedback.
As a Project Engineer you will oversee the planning, development, and execution of numerous high profile, challenging test programs. You will be the customer's primary point of contact and be responsible for managing project documentation, test setup, material procurement, resources, budget and schedule. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of subject matters and work alongside some of the industry's leading aerospace and defense contractors.
What is required of the ideal candidate to be successful for this position:
- Experience with managing projects to a budget and drive profitability
- Can multi-task and manage numerous programs at the same time
- Strong critical thinking skills to efficiently plan and direct test programs, as well as mitigate risks
- Be able to troubleshoot problems creatively and think outside the box
- Excellent verbal communication skills required for customer correspondence and working with peers
- Engineering and project management background.
- Build and maintain long lasting relationships with customers
- Promote continuous improvement and be process driven
The ideal candidate will require the following qualifications:
- 4 yr. bachelor's degree in an Engineering field REQUIRED
- 5 years project engineering/management experience REQUIRED
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines, including nights and weekends, as necessary
- Engineering design experience a plus
- PMP certification (or in process) a plus
- Motivated to learn new challenges
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication skills

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
