The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, assists physician and practitioners with patient care, administrative, environmental and organizational tasks.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, 8 hour shifts
May need to float to other Oncology office locations as needed.
No weekends, evenings or holidays!

- Greets patients and assists with patient flow;
- Administers medications, performs procedures directed by physician and practitioners
- Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner;
- Reviews and documents patient medical history including medications, allergies, and medical alerts, documents in the electronic medical record;
- Contact patients with lab and test results and indicates required follow-up, as directed;
- Documents all medical contacts;
- Assists physician and practitioners with relaying instructions to patients and families;
- Replenishes supplies and removes biohazard waste from patient rooms as directed;
- Maintains any necessary logs;
- Participates in professional development activities to keep current with job responsibilities;
- Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;

Qualifications:
- This position required an active LPN license the state(s) of practice.
- One (1) year of previous experience as an LPN.
- 2-4 years’ experience is preferred.
- Current CPR certification, if not it must be obtained within 60 days of employment and kept current thereafter.
