What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Booth - 1st Shift position at Dayton-Phoenix Group?
The position of Assembly will be responsible for fulfilling painting duties required within Dept 131.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Must have basic math skills – adding/subtracting/angles/fractions/etc.
- Ability to read and follow process specifications, work instructions, blueprints, and verbal instruction.
- Ability to work on feet most of the day.
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
- Mechanical ability to use hand tools
- Ability to safely operate a hoist
- Move and position heavy objects with hoist
- Ability to work safely from an elevated position
- Ability to operate hand truck and/or forklift
- Use hand tools and power tools as required.
- Must be able to perform at routed rate
- Must have great attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a group setting
- Ability to use and comprehend inspection tools
- Ability to work with high heat
- Must keep work area organized, clean and safe
- Perform general maintenance on spray guns and paint kettles.
- Must pass respirator exam and wear respirator for extended periods.
- Must not have facial hair.
- Familiarity with painting processes.
General Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to safely pick up and place up to 40 pounds
