Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Plan, schedule, and optimize freight movement for maximum efficiency
- Track performance metrics and improve service center operations
- Review reports and collaborate with your team to keep everything on track
- Coordinate freight appointments and ensure smooth delivery flow
- Assist with billing, rating, manifesting, and freight analysis
- Build strong communication with customers and internal teams
- Help train, develop, and evaluate team members
- Support hiring and onboarding alongside the Service Center Manager
- Maintain a safe, secure, and well-run facility
- Investigate incidents and help implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, ICC)
- Lead team meetings and keep everyone aligned
- Take on special projects and keep operations moving forward

Qualifications
What You Bring
- Knowledge of the LTL / transportation industry
- Experience managing drivers and dockworkers
- Familiarity with the local geographic area
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be 18 and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to perform a combination of administrative and operational duties in an office and dock environment.
