POSITION SUMMARY:
The Entrepreneurs Center (The EC) Community Lead, will support various components of the EC, the Entrepreneurial Services Provider (ESP) and the SBIR TAP program in Dayton, Ohio. The incumbent will
support the membership and coworking department of the organization, including communications, data entry, and event planning. In addition, the incumbent will promote and market coworking services and resources to the entrepreneurial community.
JOB DUTIES:
The EC Community Lead will be responsible for:
  • Welcome guests and members by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering and directing inquiries appropriately;
  • Give tours, create membership promotions and advocate membership opportunities to the public;
  • Responsible for acquiring and maintaining membership;
  • Read, research, and route correspondence; draft emails and documents; collect and analyze information; initiate community engagement specific to membership growth;
  • Attend networking opportunities as representation of The Hub in the community;
  • Create internal and external programming and events; membership newsletter, advertise on community calendars and Facebook events;
  • Lead retention efforts through routine follow up of membership and rental inquiries;
  • Solicit feedback from members in order to improve membership activities and services;
  • Communicate with members regularly and assist in the development of new programs;
  • Assist Marketing in creating campaigns and content plan for social media platforms;
  • Create and maintain an organizational system for information;
  • Design flyers, invitations, and emails for events, updates, etc.;
  • Responsible for membership onboarding including: invoicing, budgeting, "What to Expect" information, member benefits, other communications, introduction to members and Staff;
  • Maintain a database of members, guests and public rentals for ongoing recruitment;
  • Collect, analyze and prepare membership, financial and event reports;
  • Oversee interns through interviewing, scheduling and creating individual projects;
  • Oversees Member Service Desk staff through scheduling, training and coaching; processes; systems and outfit the Service Desk with approximately half of weekly working hours;
  • Respond to public rental needs by maintaining invoicing, sign ups, cancellation, staffing, set up, floor plans, booking calendars, and scheduling of cleaning;
  • Remain accountable for any monetary transactions and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions;
  • Ensuring communication between Coworking Staff and other EC staff;
  • Maintain a positive attitude of customer service at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The EC Community Lead should possess the following general qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Outstanding analytical skills;
  • One year or more of related customer service experience required; two years or more of supervisory experience preferred;
  • Computer skills and strong supervision skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail are key;
  • Must be intellectually curious about entrepreneurship;
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing preferred;
  • Three to five years related experience;
  • Candidates with demonstrable experience in effective use of social media strongly preferred;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Position is typically office or administrative work and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Some domestic travel, though rare, may be required.
Limited evening or weekend hours may be required.
