Dayton Children’s is expanding its School-Based Health program in Fairborn, Ohio, and we are looking for a passionate APP to join our growing team!
This is a unique opportunity to bring high-quality pediatric healthcare directly to students in their school environment, making care more accessible while supporting the overall health, wellness, and academic success of children and adolescents.

What You'll Do

- Provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare
- Perform physical assessments and examinations
- Evaluate patients and develop diagnoses
- Develop, initiate, and manage individualized plans of care and treatment
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Provide health education and guidance to students and families
- Initiate appropriate consultations and referrals
- Collaborate with physicians, school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Help promote the health and well-being of students within the school community
We welcome applications from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are passionate about caring for children and adolescents.
For Nurse Practitioners
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Ohio
- 3–4 years of nursing experience
- Pediatric or ambulatory care experience preferred
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Ohio
- Pediatric or ambulatory care experience preferred
