Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of living or working spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens efficiently.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, polishing, and applying appropriate treatments to preserve flooring quality.
- Manage sanitation procedures for kitchens and bathrooms, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, or cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
- Conduct outdoor work as needed, including sweeping porches or patios and maintaining outdoor areas.
- Support housekeeping management by organizing supplies, tracking cleaning schedules, and ensuring consistency in service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, sanitation procedures, and carpet cleaning.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward clients or residents.
- Familiarity with laundry processes and custodial responsibilities in various settings.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required.
