Responsibilities
- Make beds to hotel standards, ensuring linens are fresh, smooth, and properly arranged for guest comfort
- Assist with general cleaning duties including vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures
- Support the housekeeping team with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or linens as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor cleaning techniques and industrial cleaning methods
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and efficiently in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest requests courteously and professionally
Skills
- Experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial services preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation, and industrial cleaning techniques
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly, adhering to SDS guidelines
- Proficiency with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other custodial tools
- Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy items or moving furniture safely
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols in hospitality environments
