Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of hygiene and comfort for our guests, contributing to a positive hotel experience. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong work ethic to uphold our reputation for cleanliness and hospitality excellence.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform floor care tasks such as mopping and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment
- Ensure all public areas, hallways, and lobbies are tidy and well-maintained
- Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Experience in hotel housekeeping management is advantageous but not mandatory
- Prior custodial or custodial management experience is beneficial
- A positive attitude with excellent time management skills
