The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and common areas. This role ensures a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests by adhering to hotel standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
- Clean and maintain bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors
- Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens
- Remove trash and replace trash liners in guest rooms and common areas
- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, staircases, lobbies, and shared facilities
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management
- Follow proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned and ready in a timely manner according to hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts and storage areas
- Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards
Additional Duties
- Assist with laundry tasks if needed (washing, drying, folding linens)
- Support deep cleaning projects or special cleaning assignments
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with guests when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods
- Good time management and organizational skills
Working Conditions
