Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience with programmable logic controllers. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing various equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality within our facilities.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers.
- Utilize schematics to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Oversee residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic standards of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with staff and external vendors.
- Supervise maintenance staff as required, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to work with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with the capability to read and interpret schematics.
- Experience in welding is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments is advantageous.
