Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas within our hotel. This role is vital in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment during their stay. Prior hotel experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform floor care tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Restock amenities like toiletries, towels, and other supplies as needed
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned
Skills
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles within hotels or similar hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality cleanliness standards
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus, demonstrating leadership or supervisory skills in similar roles
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderate loads comfortably
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and report issues accurately
