Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets and enhance overall store performance.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure they deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Oversee employee orientation programs, ongoing training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and purchasing activities to optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships through effective negotiation and purchasing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and POS (Point of Sale) system protocols.
- Handle cash management duties including cashiering, cash handling procedures, and reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels through inventory management systems; conduct stock audits and control shrinkage.
- Supervise shift management to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Utilize retail math skills for pricing strategies, sales analysis, and financial reporting to support business growth.
- Foster a positive team environment by providing leadership in retail management practices such as merchandising, stocking, and promotional displays.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail store management with strong supervisory skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation abilities coupled with effective communication skills for team leadership and vendor relations.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll & bookkeeping tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask across inventory management, sales tracking, and operational duties.
- Knowledge of POS systems, retail math calculations including pricing & sales analysis, and inventory control techniques.
- Experience with wireless sales or grocery store environments is a plus but not required.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shift management periods.
- Ability to train staff on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, cashiering procedures, and operational standards.
