Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to help maintain our property, buildings, equipment, and grounds. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable handling a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing routine maintenance, troubleshooting problems, making minor repairs, and helping ensure the property remains safe, functional, clean, and well maintained for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of the property and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Complete general repairs in guest rooms, common areas, and other areas of the property.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, repairing minor leaks, and replacing plumbing fixtures when necessary.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Assist with maintaining heating and cooling systems and report problems requiring specialized repair.
• Repair or replace locks, doors, hardware, and other property fixtures.
• Perform painting, patching, caulking, and minor carpentry work.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Perform basic landscaping and exterior property upkeep.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment failures, or repairs requiring outside contractors.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in an organized manner.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with other maintenance and property upkeep duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and common maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments efficiently.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to respond appropriately to maintenance needs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and working both indoors and outdoors.
• Willingness to work additional hours when needed.
