Handyman/Laborer

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, fixtures, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Conduct general carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and other handyman tasks as needed
• Use tools such as hammers, drills, saws, and ohmmeters to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving materials or furniture to support ongoing projects or events
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and supplies used for accountability and future reference
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and uphold safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in handyman work or general labor tasks preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters confidently
• Basic understanding of electrical systems; familiarity with using ohmmeters for testing circuits is a plus
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges
• Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location or project needs
