The Accounting Representative – Payroll & Administration is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company with a primary focus on payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable support, banking transactions, vendor management, and general accounting administration.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, vendors are supported promptly, and financial records remain organized and accurate. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and financial information.
This role works closely with the Controller and Accounting team to support efficient and compliant accounting operations. This position does not include cost accounting responsibilities.
- Location: Acworth, Georgia
- Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
- Work Environment: This is an on-site position. Due to the confidential nature of payroll, banking, and employee information, remote or hybrid work is not available.
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Process payroll adjustments, commissions, bonuses, reimbursements, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and employee files.
- Coordinate payroll changes with Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Prepare vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor records and W-9 documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end accounts payable reconciliations.
- Assist with customer invoicing.
- Process and apply customer payments.
- Support collection efforts.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
- Prepare daily bank deposits.
- Record ACH, EFT, and other banking transactions.
- Reconcile daily cash activity.
- Assist with bank account administration.
- Maintain organized accounting records.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Prepare reports for leadership.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Cross-train with other accounting team members to ensure departmental continuity.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Experience with payroll processing.
- Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.
