Marcy Precious Little 1s is an award-winning childcare program serving families for 16 years. We provide high-quality, engaging early learning experiences and a warm, professional environment where both scholars and staff thrive.
We are currently hiring a dedicated, reliable, bubbly Morning Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a long-term position, not a seasonal role.
Schedule
7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
(Some mornings may require a 6:30 AM arrival depending on drop-off.)
Who We Are
We serve scholars ages 6 weeks and up through hands-on learning, sensory play, creative projects, story time, movement, and structured routines. Our program is known for excellence, creativity, and a strong team culture.
Responsibilities
The Morning Assistant Teacher helps open the program and set a positive tone for the day by:
- Preparing and opening the classroom
- Greeting scholars and parents professionally
- Assisting with breakfast routines
- Supporting diapering, feeding, and transitions
- Setting up sensory, Circle Time, and learning activities
- Maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom
- Following structured routines and daily checklists
- Sending photo updates using the Brightwheel app
- Supporting a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (infants/toddlers preferred)
- Extremely reliable and punctual for early shifts
- Bubbly, warm, positive personality
- Professional communication and appearance
- Comfort with structure, routines, and teamwork
- Tech-friendly (training provided)
- Open to coaching and feedback
- Must complete OCFS paperwork and required trainings
- CDA or Early Childhood coursework is a plus
