What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional - Glassboro, NJ position at DAYBREAK TREATMENT CENTER?
Wedgewood RHCF is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, and strives to provide safe and affordable housing for adults with a mental illness. Wedgewood caters to adult ambulatory residents who do not need skilled nursing care, but who do need some oversight in their day-to-day affairs.
We are seeking Direct Care / Housekeeping Staff to work our 3pm to 11pm shift or our 11pm to 7am shift who will be responsible for:
- guiding and directing consumers;
- direct care including cleaning;
- light cooking;
- cleaning common areas according to schedule and procedure;
- performing floor care functions including sweeping; vacuuming, and washing as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to work assigned shift. with flexibility for other hours as needed;
- Direct care worker;
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours and lift and/or carry 25 pounds;
- Possess good time management and organizational skills;
- Show compassion for residents and staff;
- Demonstrate ability to be team-oriented;
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
