Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to ship and receive eggs, inspect shipments and trailers, and supply the processing department with eggs.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks, weighing incoming eggs, documenting quality and lot tracking issues related to incoming eggs.
- Maintaining inventory and controlling shell egg rotation.
- Inspecting and signing for incoming product, packages, and supplies, rejecting when necessary.
- Coordinating and storing materials/supplies while maintaining segregation of clean and dirty materials.
- Completing and maintaining compliance for all required paperwork and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Transporting eggs from the cooler to the staging area for processing.
- Assisting as needed during breaks and cleanup.
- Cleaning the cooler with a floor scrubber and maintaining a clean environment at all times.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Daybreak Foods, Inc. will provide training.
- The ability to read, speak, and write in English is required.
- The ability and willingness to learn computer skills.
- Experience with powered pallet jacks and/or forklifts is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in food safety and egg quality is desirable.
- Maintaining compliance with food safety and GMP policies.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures.
- The ability to read and follow written instructions, policies, and procedures.
- A positive team-oriented attitude.
- The ability to train others.
Physical Demands
Standing and walking constantly, gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting up to 60 pounds frequently, sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. The employee may work in an outside environment where temperatures vary seasonally. Clothing must be worn based on seasonal weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Certain areas may be loud enough to require ear protection.
