You are responsible for managing operational costs while operating within a network. This position is about driving change, continuous improvement, problem solving and effective communication.
How You’ll Help
- Keep the team engaged by supporting and promoting terminal objectives and all corporate initiatives.
- Ensure drivers follow Company SOPs; including sending in PODs on the day freight is delivered.
- Monitor MPG, Idle Time, Out-of-route Miles, OTD, fuel purchase to ensure profitability.
- Monitor Safety/Compliance Training, home time, HOS, PTO within DOT and D&R requirements.
- Onboarding process for team including both drivers and team members; Meet & Greet, activate fuel cards, Expectations, etc.
- Work close with Recruiting to hire and be aware of new drivers coming into Company Trucks.
- Seeks opportunities to improve existing processes to support continuous improvements.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience within Transportation and Logistics.
- Automotive experience preferred
- Experience with EPOD or Electronic Bill of Lading systems.
- Computer skills – proficiency and accuracy; strong knowledge of MS products; knowledge and/or experience within, TMS systems such as TMW, PowerFleet, PeopleNet (Elog) or other assets tracking experience.
- Travel: 25% as required.
