Driver Manager

Join Day & Ross as a valued member of our Operations Team. The Driver Manager plays a key role in ensuring the safe, timely delivery of goods for our diverse range of customers. This position is responsible for maximizing fleet productivity and profitability, while fostering a positive working environment for drivers and promoting retention through effective management and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide complete load information, including routing and directions, ensuring drivers are fully prepared for assignments
- Coach drivers on time management to facilitate on-time delivery and compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Maintain accurate records for drivers, trips, and customers within the TMS (Transportation Management System)
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company standards
- Negotiate and arrange transportation for goods (during or outside regular hours of business – if/when required)
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; logistics experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous supervisory, transportation, or operational experience necessary
- TMS system software background preferred
- Willingness to travel as required
