What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Administrative Coordinator position at Day Oral Health - Dr. Rachel Anne Day DDS?
About Day Oral Health
Day Oral Health is seeking a warm, professional Dental Administrative Coordinator to join our private, low-volume, fee-for-service dental practice. We are blessed with an exceptional team of professionals and truly enjoy a supportive, drama-free work environment. Because we are not contracted with any dental benefit companies, you will enjoy a practice environment free from the hassle of managing insurance-mandated write-offs. Our patient forms are strictly digital, and we fully transitioned to being a chartless office six years ago with modern tech, including Open Dental, Weave VoIP, and Vyne clearinghouse.
The Role & What You’ll Do
As our Dental Administrative Coordinator, you are the heart of our front office and the first point of contact for our patients. Your welcoming presence sets the tone for each patient’s experience, while your efficiency keeps check-in and check-out running smoothly. In this role, you will manage phone communications, digital records, and patient scheduling. As a courtesy to our patients, you will verify dental benefit coverage, submit claims, and introduce uninsured patients to our in-house Plan Forward Membership Plan. You will also enjoy working alongside a clinical team that is well-versed in administrative protocols, meaning patients usually arrive at the front desk with a clear understanding of your role.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, strong multi-tasking abilities, and a high comfort level with modern dental office software. Prior administrative experience in a dental setting and familiarity with Open Dental, Weave, and Vyne is preferred, but your positive attitude, attention to detail, and appreciation for good business practices are what matters most.
Schedule, Pay & Benefits
We offer a great schedule with excellent work/life balance, working Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with patients scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM—giving you Fridays off every week. We offer competitive hourly compensation reflecting your prior education, training, and experience. Our benefits package includes paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, generous in-house dental care for team members, support for continuing education, and a deferred savings plan.
Qualified candidates will be contacted by our hiring specialist to schedule an interview.
