Licensed Mental Health Professional (CCS Provider)

Position Summary

Day One Mental Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our growing team and provide community-based mental health services through our partnership with Dane County Comprehensive Community Services (CCS).

In this role, you will support individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges through person-centered, recovery-oriented care that promotes resilience, independence, and overall well-being. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary providers and community partners to help clients achieve their recovery goals.

The ideal candidate is a dedicated clinician who values cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices. Services may be delivered in clients' homes, schools, workplaces, community settings, the agency office, or via telehealth, depending on client needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment and recovery plans in accordance with CCS standards.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services as clinically appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary team members to establish and maintain person-centered recovery goals.
  • Coordinate care with CCS Service Facilitators, psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and other community supports.
  • Complete risk assessments and develop safety plans when necessary.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with agency policies, CCS requirements, Medicaid standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Assist clients in building coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, communication skills, and community connections.
  • Deliver services using evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Maintain active professional licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Qualifications Required

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure in good standing, including one of the following:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-In Training (LMFT-IT)
  • Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) with qualifying mental health experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to successfully complete background checks required by Dane County CCS and agency policies.

Preferred

  • Experience providing community-based mental health services.
  • Familiarity with Dane County CCS policies, service requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Experience working with individuals affected by serious and persistent mental illness, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Training or certification in evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, or trauma-focused therapies.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.

Work Environment

This position involves providing services throughout Dane County in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, community locations, schools, workplaces, agency offices, and telehealth platforms. Some evening availability may be required to accommodate client schedules.
