Sales Associate

DAY OFF is a growing retail store on Cape Cod with multiple locations such as Mashpee Commons and Brewster; seeking full-time and part-time, year round sales associates.

Ideal candidates have previous retail experience, are result-driven and team oriented. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs and answer their questions about our products to ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with fashion and décor trends, as well as maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals, and maintaining a clean shopping environment.

Store hours vary based on location and time of year.
Candidates must have previous retail experience.
Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Valid drivers license and reliable source of transportation required.

Job Type: Full-time Year Round / Part-time Year Round

Salary: $18.00- $26.00 per hour based on experience

Anticipated start date: August, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products
• Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
• Follow and achieve store sales goals on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
• Actively seek out customers in store
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Cross sell products
• Handle returns of merchandise
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Maintain the stock room, including disposing of trash and cardboard in respective receptacles

Required Skills/Experience

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate/Manager
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Basic Math skills
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience
• Social media experience
• Availability to work flexible shifts
• High school diploma; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus
• Must have valid drivers license and reliable source of transportation
