Day & Nite AmeriServe is seeking a reliable and motivated Inventory Specialist / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory, organizing warehouse operations, preparing materials for service jobs, and ensuring technicians have the parts and equipment they need to successfully complete their work.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.

JOB OVERVIEW
As an Inventory Specialist / Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day inventory and warehouse operations of the company.

This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, tracking, counting, staging, and distributing inventory and materials. You will work closely with the warehouse, procurement, service, and management teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely fulfillment of materials needed for daily service operations.

A key part of this position is ensuring that technician vehicles are properly stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inventory Management
  • Track and maintain accurate inventory levels throughout the warehouse.
  • Enter and update inventory information in SamPro and other company systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and inventory audits.
  • Investigate inventory shortages, overages, and discrepancies and assist with resolving issues.
  • Monitor inventory usage and identify items that need to be reordered.
  • Communicate low-stock items and inventory needs to the appropriate team members.
  • Help reduce inventory loss, waste, damage, and theft.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide information regarding inventory usage, trends, and replenishment needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and transactions.


Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming materials and inventory.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse storage areas.
  • Ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored, and easy to locate.
  • Pick, stage, and organize materials for outgoing service jobs based on daily schedules and priorities.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, service, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and shipments.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Technician Truck Inventory
  • Complete regular technician truck inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Ensure technician vehicles are properly stocked according to predetermined inventory stocking lists.
  • Restock technician trucks with required parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Verify truck inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure technician trucks are clean, organized, and presentable before being dispatched back to technicians.
  • Prepare materials and equipment needed for upcoming service jobs.
  • Communicate inventory concerns or shortages that may impact technician productivity or scheduled work.


Equipment & Safety
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other related equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Properly handle, store, and move materials to prevent damage or injury.
  • Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or inventory concerns to management.
  • Maintain a professional and team-oriented work environment.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials management role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately count, track, and document inventory.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
  • Experience with inventory software is a plus; SamPro experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus; forklift certification and training will be provided if needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
