What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Programmer position at Dawson Technical Inc?
Summary: This position is in support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) onboard Fort Belvoir or other contract locations. Contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop computer programs, software, and applications
- Write, create, test, and debug code
- Assist, consult, and collaborate effectively with multiple subject matter experts and end-users
- Review operating systems and software
- Write code and implement computer programs on multiple systems
- Build and use computer-assisted software engineering tools to automate some coding
- Perform all requirements and implementation of automated computer systems
- Collaborate with software vendors, as needed
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 7-10 years of related experience.
- Prior Department of Defense related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance
- Experience supporting DTRA mission areas and exercise programs preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required
