Role Description This full-time, on-site Human Resources Generalist role is based at Dawson School’s campus in Lafayette, CO. The Human Resources Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role will assist in administering employee benefits, responding to staff inquiries, and ensuring compliance with school policies and applicable employment laws. The Human Resources Generalist will help implement and communicate HR policies, support performance management processes, and collaborate with school leadership on HR initiatives that reinforce a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining HR documentation, supporting HR-related training, and partnering with departments to address routine HR needs in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) principles and HR Management, with experience supporting day-to-day HR operations.
- Knowledge of HR Policies and employment regulations, with the ability to help maintain compliance and clear documentation.
- Experience with Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including enrollment, changes, and responding to employee questions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work on-site in Lafayette, CO, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and leadership.
- Proficiency with HRIS and standard office software; experience in an educational or nonprofit setting is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is beneficial.
